OkI am a TAD concerned now&helli ...

Ok I am a TAD concerned now….but I will survive. We have a “new” timeline. We handed off the remainder of the paperwork to the social worker today, or at least I should say I handed it off! But then when I was finally able to get to a computer I found some new information that I am not excited about….(1) The new time for referral after dossier to Vietnam (for us hopefully by October 1 but Aaron is talking about pushing that back to January 1 - more on that later) is 3 to 9 months, which puts us at January to September of NEXT year (2) the new time frame for travel is 4 to 16 weeks after referral, which if the referral came as late as September and we had to wait 16 weeks to travel would mean we would not travel until January of 2009. This is a crushing blow as I had always been using the LONGEST time possible and never once did I get to January of 2009 or later to travel for our baby. That is a year and a half away and Aaron wants to add three months to all of it so that we can pay for the fees that go with the dossier to Vietnam with his end of the year bonus. So, as you can imagine I am a bit in the dumps today. So we will see what happens, Aaron and I REALLY need to talk about all of this because putting off filing the dossier for almost six months may make the wait even longer.

I hope that I do not hear a pregnant woman say to me “I feel like I have waited forever for this baby” because if it were not for the fact she was pregnant I think I might deck her. I get that as many as nine months sounds like forever when you find out you are pregnant but I would ask them to try to wait more than two years after they find out they are pregnant. That is not as easy…..so I am back to my elephant pregnancy!
