OH NO!!!

For several weeks our family has discussed getting a smaller breed dog that would be more accessible to some of the folks we visit who are unable due to physical conditions to easily reach our golden retrievers. We found a local, reputable breeder who was expecting a litter that met the requirements of what we were looking for and were placed on a waiting list. When the litter were born last week, we were broken hearted to find out that only one pup had survived and it was a boy. We had hoped for a girl.

The following day my husband suggested we search online for other puppies that may be coming available in the next few weeks. The first phone call made led to a precious lady who has a passion for Jesus and a passion for her pooches. When we told her what the purpose of the puppy would be, she insisted on donating one to us. We were given directions to her house and agreed to meet a few hours later.
Upon arriving at her home, she walked outside and greeted us with what I believe is the cutest puppy I have ever seen. She said that she'd hand picked this pup because of his personality and because he was hypo-allergenic. When I saw his face, I didn't mind at all that he was a boy. I was hooked. (We all were!)
Isn't he adorable? He is a mix between a Maltese and a Yorkie aka a Morkie.

All 150 miles home, we passed around ideas for the perfect name. None was to be found until after we got home and turned on the winter Olympics in time to see Apolo Ohno make USA Olympic history by winning his seventh medal in the games.

And so Apollo "OH-NO" joined our family. We are pawsitively smitten.

The precious lady who blessed us with our new pooch has requested to remain anonymous. She said her actions were not meant to bring her glory but God glory. He knows who she is and we are thankful to know her as a friend now too. We pray God's blessings upon her and her business!

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21
