Last night, shared with PIL about Ian’s toilet incident . Then, only I was reminded of another toilet incident when he was much younger… perhaps 3 or 4 years old.
It happened in PIL’s house. He used to like playing with the door knob, so in that case it was a lesson well learnt. After he turned the knob into lock-position (the plastic turning type), the turning-knob disengaged from the hook. He couldn’t open it again. So he yelled and screamed, kicked the poor shabby plastic door hard, but still couldn’t get out of it. Actually, if he was calm, we could help him out very easily coz that door is really shabby type. He got himself panic and stressed for a while.
Geez, two toilet trapping incidents in his young childhood time… I pray that this doesn’t leave any marks on him. In fact, he is now kind-of having a ‘close-door phobia’. He wouldn’t let any doors closed. Not even Isabel’s! And that brought quarrels between them.
DH finally has got the door “fixed”. Well, he removed the whole knob. Apparently the installer didn’t install it properly, so the entire knob got to be smashed, now leaving a hole. I thank God that it didn’t happen to maid when she was alone while we were all away for holiday!
