Ack! My life is GONE!This was my very thought this morning when I reached for my other right arm, my Palm.I hit the calendar button to view…a black screen. I turned on the Palm and viewed…a black screen. I “soft set” it and viewed…a black screen.
How could this be? It was charged. I charged it just the other night and I do not recall it warning me yesterday when I was checking some contact info that the charge was low. But it won’t turn on.
Desperate I put it on the charger and after a couple hours turn it on while it is still on the charger. It turns on! But wait, something is wrong…the calendar is blank and today is January 1, 2003 (?), my Neofax is gone, so is my daily Bible verse, and my assorted games. WTH? My life is gone!
But no, I will not panic. I will hot sync my Palm and all will be right with the world again.
Right?
Wrong.
The thing won’t hot sync. I then spend the better part of this morning trouble shooting my Palm, the connecting cables, the hot sync program, my pc and still I can’t solve the problem. Really that is no big surprise since I am such a anti-tech geek who refers to the back of the pc as plug-in doo-hickies.
Aack! I can’t possibly juggle without my other right arm! What will I do?
Finally, out of sheer desperation, I restart the computer and fix myself a cup of green tea. Once it is booted up again, I open my hot sync manager and click on the hot sync on my Palm and I hear the dulcet tones of my Palm hot syncing.
My life is restored. The day can now begin…and it is only a couple minutes after noon.
Okay now, stop laughing!
