My brother is 16 and has been diagnosed with Mono. I believe that he has the virus, but I'm a little worried, because he has not displayed any of the normal symptoms such as fever, fatigue, swollen lymph nodes, and sore throat. He has only ever complained about having migrains, and stomachaches/nausea. Is there another illness affecting him? Or is he just trying to stay out of school longer, he's been home for a month now, and I don't know if I should believe him anymore. But the only thing I notice, because he doesn't look sick, is a decrease in appetite, but no loss in weight. I guess my real question is do I have a stage 5 faker on my hands? Or should I send him to the neurologist?
Send him to a neurologist, if he his sick they will find something. If his not he will say something about having to go or they will confirm that he is faking.
