The Bear has two birthday parties this weekend, so while I was wrapping the gift, I thought I'd share my tip. Maybe you do this, maybe you don't, I thought I'd share anyway.
I hate buying birthday cards, gift wrap and gift bags for kid's birthday parties. I always reuse gift bags (like most people do), but sometimes, the gift bags I have don't quite fit the occasion. For instance, sending a pink Tinkerbell bag to a boy's birthday party probably isn't the coolest thing to do!
So, here is my tip. Next time you forget your reusable bags at the grocery store, ask them to bag in paper. Save the paper bags, cut them and turn inside out, and use it as wrapping paper. Then, let your child color all over the paper and have them write their name on it too. This way, you have pretty and thoughtful wrapping paper and you don't have to get a card because the words are right on the gift.
