We’re not a family of singers, but I'm glad my children can hum a tune or two. They love music because they have been exposed to classical music and nursery rhymes when they were still babies. Classical music put them to sleep easily. Nursery rhymes taught them new sounds, numbers, letters, colors, and shapes as toddlers. Science has proven that children who were exposed to music during their formative years (first five years) enhance their ability to think, learn and reason and create. My children grew up to be smart kids and I owe it to music.
