Iris Brie Baker
Emerson Creek Pottery was kind enough to send me the Iris Brie Baker pictured above, and I absolutely love it. This beautiful dish is handmade and hand-painted using non-toxic, natural materials. Needless to say, it is also lead-free. And, like all of the pottery at Emerson Creek Pottery, it is oven-, microwave- and dishwasher-safe. The Iris Brie Baker even came with this yummy recipe!
1 med. apple
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. melted butter
¼ cup diced walnuts
1 – 15 oz. round Brie Cheese
1 tbsp. brown sugar
Peel and chop apple. Melt butter and then mix with brown sugar and cinnamon. Add in walnuts and chopped apple. Cut Brie wheel in half horizontally. Place half in Brie Baker. Spread ½ mixture on Brie. Place other ½ of wheel on top, cover with remaining mixture. Bake at 35 degrees for 15 minutes.
I’m definitely going to try this delicious recipe for my next gathering! And this little dish can be used for plenty of other things because it’s so beautiful to look at. Set it out on the table with butter or a condiment in it!
