Kiss The Most Beautiful Girl in the World

Posted Oct 22 2008 4:25pm

Last Tuesday, I started a fun blog meme centered around The Bucket List. If you join in by sharing your own bucket list, you'll be entered in my vintage apron giveaway. Click on the above links or buttons for more information.

#5 Kiss the Most Beautiful Girl in the World...

Hey, did you happen to see the most beautiful girl in the world?
And if you did, was she crying, cryin?
Hey, if you happen to see the most beautiful girl, that walked out on me
Tell her I'm sorry, tell her I need my baby
Oh, won't you tell her, that I love her

Come on, sing it with me. I know that you know the words. So, what beautiful girls have I kissed? Well, I've kissed a dolphin.

Swimming with dolphins (Dolphin Encounters at Blue Lagoon Island in Nassau, Bahamas)

My family traveled to the Caribbean on Carnival Cruise Lines for Christmas in December 2006. More specifically, we visited Dolphin Encounters on Blue Lagoon Island in Nassau, Bahamas. I don't think I need to tell you that it was an unforgettable experience. We stood in the lagoon with the dolphin and we were able to touch & interact with this awesome animal. We kissed & hugged the dolphin and even danced a little jig with the dolphin. I would love to do it again. In fact, if we are ever lucky enough to go again, I would like to do the more interactive & intimate (hint: more expensive!) program of actually swimming with the dolphins. For now, I am happy to settle for this once in a lifetime experience.

Our family will often go on a vacation over the Christmas holidays. The memories from these trips are the greatest gifts we could give our children. Priceless memories. Memories like their Mom kissing a sting ray.

Swimming with stingrays (Grand Turk Island Shore Excursions from Carnival Cruise Lines)

Can't put a price tag on that memory! Our Carnival Cruise included a stop at the Grand Turk Islands where we participated in a shore excursion called Reef & Rays. We snorkeled on a coral reef just off shore. The marine animals on this particular coral reef have been hand fed, tamed & somewhat "domesticated" by the locals. We saw lots of tropical fish, including baracudas & nurse sharks. And of course, we saw the stingrays!

OK, so those were fabulous once-in-a-lifetime adventures, but here's our more ordinary, day-to-day life. Here's a face only a Mom would want to kiss!

Ice Cream on a Hot Day

I can definitely say I have kissed two of the most beautiful girls in the world. Sticky ice cream & messy BBQ rib faces & all. Actually, aren't those the best types of kisses?

And I've kissed a few frogs in my lifetime too. However, I would have to say this particular frog is my favorite.

By the way, I've also kissed two of the most handsome men in the world. My husband & our son. This picture was taken in 2005 when Young Sarge graduated from Army boot camp. Are the two of them just beaming with pride or what?

So, later this week, I'll be sharing more items on my Bucket List & the pictures that go along with it. Meanwhile, what's on your Bucket List?
