Ditch your stroller, and make those kids walk! Children over age two are perfectly capable of covering the entire Zoo on foot. They can hold your hand while you walk together to a neighborhood park. Preschool children can pedal a bike about as fast as you can jog or walk fast. Older children can go hiking and carry their own packs. Let's face it, the stroller is more for us than for them. They hop out, and our stuff hops in! Leave the stroller in the car (or sell it on Craigslist) and offer a piggy-back ride instead. Plus, if you wear them out, they'll take a fabulous afternoon nap!
