Join the Lands’ End FeelGood Campaign to Warm the Homeless
Posted Sep 13 2009 10:05pm
Lands’ End has a brand-new initiative called the FeelGood Campaign, which aims to help homeless individuals and families across the country. For every Lands’ End FeelGood sweater that you purchase, the company will donate signature FeelGood yarn to One Heart Foundation’s Warming Families, a nationwide knitting charity. Lands’ End expects to donate thousands of pounds of yarn to the charity where volunteers plan to knit up to 25,000 hats and other items to warm the homeless and displaced.
So, how can you help? There are several ways:
Buy a Lands’ End FeelGood Sweater
Click here to purchase a Lands’ End FeelGood Sweater! You’ll love these sweaters because they’re soft as cashmere for the price of cotton. This would be a great way to start your holiday shopping AND help families in need.
Join Lands’ End and Vickie Howell for a Twitter Party to celebrate the kick-off of the FeelGood Campaign! The party will feature more than 20 fun giveaways ranging from the FeelGood sweater and Vickie Howell’s books to Lands’ End gift cards and FeelGood yarn.
Date: Wednesday, September 16th Time: 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. CST Location: #landsend
Blog About the Lands’ End FeelGood Campaign
For every blog post about this campaign from now until September 16, 2009, MomSelect will donate a cone of FeelGood yarn to volunteer knitters at Warming Families. One cone of FeelGood yarn is enough to make 28 hats to be donated to homeless individuals in communities across the country. Once your post is complete, send a link to TwitterParty [at] landsend [dot] com. They will update everyone on how many cones of yarn were contributed as a result of your blogging efforts at the FeelGood Twitter Party on September 16th. Bloggers will also be entered for a chance to win the FeelGood collection, including two sweaters and coordinating accessories (valued at $200). Three winners will be chosen at random and contacted on September 17th.
Wow, that’s four great ways in which you can participate in the Lands’ End FeelGood Campaign! I hope you’ll join us in some way to make this a very successful endeavor to help clothe the homeless this winter.
