Here I am, being swept into the whirlwind called 2010. We have been incredibly busy, so far this year. Garrett has started playing basketball with his school - and let me just say, time is something we don't have control over anymore! He has practice EVERY evening, Monday thru Thursday. Games are slated for Tuesdays and Saturdays - run, run, run!
Sophia has adjusted completely to her two days per week at school. She very much looks forward to spending time with her peers and the wonderful staff at her playschool. I'm not sure what we will do when her 3 year birthday comes around - this playschool is only for children 18 months to 3 years old. I'm not going to worry about it too much as we have until June to figure out if she'll entertain another school or just stay home with her mommy ;o)
Both of my kids have spent a lot more time at home this winter due to delays and cancellations. I certainly don't mind the snow - especially when it is the wet, heavy snow that soaks nicely into the ground. Happy Spring Blooms is what that wonderful stuff brings - and some pretty slippery roads, too!
Let's see what else is going on here? Oh, we are finally, finally (!!!) getting our plans together for some backyard landscaping WOO HOO! We weren't sure how long we were going to stay in this home, so looking at landscaping from a neutral seller's point of view was difficult. I think we have decided to stay in our happy little home for the foreseeable future. I asked Garrett how he felt about moving (he has already lived in a few homes for his young years!) and he expressed no interest. Smart little boy - asking questions like where are we going to find such a huge yard that already has a wall around it? We've decided we like it here, too, so we'll fix some minor things up and make our home the place we want to stay rather than constantly looking for a more perfect space.
That's about all going on around these Santa Fe parts. I hope everyone is well and that the new year is being kind and sharing good health, thus far. Until next time, my love to all - M...
