While a lot of snow hit other parts of the Midwest and Chicago, we got off pretty light here along Lake Michigan. The freezing rain sounded awful during the night, but by morning there was little accumulation on the ground.
The top two photos are actually the same thing, only the second is color corrected. I’ve been trying to improve my abilities recently; let me know which one you like better.
All of the photos in this series are through our windows, because I didn’t have time to get dressed and take the shots, which I took around sunrise. The 40-mile-per-hour winds didn’t seem all that enticing, either.
Even though it snowed for a few more hours, I’m concerned there’s not enough to take Seth sledding Saturday morning. A hard freeze may keep the thin snow pack in place, though.
