The month of June is going to be a Nick-travaganza! Starting this week, Nickelodeon is bringing several of their classic series to DVD – many for the first-time-ever – exclusively through Amazon.com! Titles include the Rugrats and The Fairly OddParents (6/2), Danny Phantom and Making Fiends (6/9), H20, South of Nowhere and Zoey 101 (6/16).
Rugrats, the multi-Emmy Award-winning smash that captivated audiences around the world when it was “top baby” in Nickelodeon’s “crib” from 1990-2004, is making a “special delivery” on DVD! The animated kids TV mega-hit is part of a slate of top series set for release on DVD exclusively on Amazon.com this spring. From Rugrats to The Fairly OddParents, Danny Phantom, Making Fiends, South of Nowhere, and more, many of Nickelodeon’s TV favorites for fans of all ages will be made available only on Amazon.com beginning June 2, 2009. Rugrats Seasons 1 and 2 – In one of the most successful and highly lauded Nickelodeon series of all time, Tommy Pickles (E.G. Daily) and his pint-sized pals discover magic, danger and great comic adventure in a world adults often take for granted. Tommy is joined by the twins, Phil and Lil Deville; his best friend, Chuckie; and his 3-year-old cousin and resident bully of the family, Angelica. The Fairly OddParents Seasons 1 and 2 – Skyrocketing ratings for Nickelodeon since its 2001 launch, the Emmy Award-winning series created by Butch Hartman centers on 10-year-old Timmy Turner. Once a powerless kid at the mercy of every adult in his life, Timmy figures he finally has the upper hand when two fairy godparents, Cosmo and Wanda, suddenly appear on the scene. His newfound fairy godparents practice their craft on him and delight in playfully punishing his babysitting nemesis, 16-year-old Vicky, who turns mean as a snake the second Timmy’s parents leave. Throughout his magical misadventures, while exploring the big issues of being a kid – growing up, gaining independence, fitting in, being respected, and finding the courage to do what’s right – Timmy’s eyes are opened to an important axiom: Be careful what you wish for! Charlotte loves singing, puppies, hugs and, most of all, her new best friend, Vendetta. Vendetta prefers clams, magazines, and devising new ways to destroy Charlotte. With her vicious band of homemade fiends, Vendetta works tirelessly to rid her beloved grey and gloomy Clamburg of the bright and shiny threat that is Charlotte.

H20 Season 1 – This live-action magical mermaid adventure and winner of the 2007 Nickelodeon UK Kids’ Choice Award for “Best TV Show” is shot on location in the Gold Coast Region of Queensland, Australia. H2O centers on Emma (Claire Holt), Rikki (Cariba Heine) and Cleo (Phoebe Tonkin), three 16-year-old girls who stumble upon an ancient cavern under a volcano and undergo a transformation that changes their lives forever. The heroines are ordinary teens on land, but extraordinary teen mermaids with magical powers under the sea. With the ability to freeze, boil and manipulate water anytime they wish, these mermaids discover that the world is truly their oyster. Jonathan M. South of Nowhere Season 3 – The N network’s original drama series for teens from veteran Creator and Executive Producer Tom Lynch of The Secret World of Alex Mack, is a fictional story about a contemporary American family and their journey of self-discovery. Set in Los Angeles, South of Nowhere – one of the highest-rated original series on the network – chronicles the five members of the Carlin family as they try to define themselves and make sense of their lives while they undergo a huge transition, moving from small town Ohio to the big city of L.A. The Carlins find they are unprepared for the fast-paced, metropolitan environment and the overcrowded, “anything goes” L.A. public school that the family’s three teenagers attend.
