It’s Not Easy Being a Tween ~ Make Me Smile Challenge ~

It’s not easy being a tween or teen. I wouldn’t wish those days on my worst enemy!
Johnny, well, he’s at that age. Sweet as honey some days and other days well, it ain’t pretty. Who knows what is raging inside that body of his and by the way, I expect in the next year or two he’ll tower over me. I stand at 5’8″ – he’s going to be a tall boy!
Something that I’ve noticed with him is his smile. Lately, he’s close-mouthed when it comes to pictures. He’s got what I refer to as his daddy’s mouth. The jaw is small, so his teeth are crunched in there. Sometimes they are so crunched we have to have teeth pulled. I hate to think about it, but Johnny is going to need to have his teeth straightened out. I didn’t need braces as a teen, but I had friends who had them. Of course, braces made them really self-conscious. That’s the last thing I’ll want for Johnny.
In this day and age, we have options. We’re going to look into Invisalign Teen , an effective alternative to braces. Invisalign works with clear, removable aligners. They are comfortable, teens won’t suffer from cut lips and gums from wires and they promote self-confidence. Teens don’t want to walk around with their mouth full of wires. With Invisalign Teen, no one has to know! They work like braces though, dental checkups are needed approximately every 6 weeks.
