If a child breathes out of his mouth instead of his nose would this cause him to have a speech disorder?

My son is 3 years old and we noticed that he has a really narrow roof of his mouth and it is extremely deep. He also snores so loud. I think that he breathes out of his mouth and not his nose and that is why we always have problems with his allergies and they thought he had asthma. I would just like to no if any of this can cause his speech problems because he is 3 and can't say very much at all.
