i want my relationship with my child to be more of a friendly relation ... but i am doing a bad job giving to many instructions

You can still be  a parent and be friendly/loving. A child needs a parent who will train/educate/discipline so that it grows up safely. A child needs boundaries that only its parent knows best what they are. Boundaries are not being mean - they are giving that child a safety and protection. Children need instruction or they would go around burning themselves, cutting themselves, running into traffic, getting bitten by dogs and more. Children need parents, not parents who want to be friends. That will come when they have grown up. For now, protect them.
