Yesterday morning I remembered it was World Book day today.
The 5 year old’s class had to dress up as someone from a fairytale. In blind panic and living up to my name of ‘Last Minute Laura’ I took to Facebook and Twitter. Before long I had several offers of outfits and several ideas … the best ‘no nonsense’ idea was to send him to school with a loaf of bread and tell him to drop crumbs. Instant Hansel.
I texted Teacher Friend Mother of 3 who has the largest dressing up collection in Yorkshire… ”Help!”. She came to my rescue with a Knight outfit.
So today I dropped of my Knight at school. He can’t bend over otherwise the velcro bursts open. He had a shield and sword too. When he got to school there were 4 other knights in his class. I wonder how long before their swords are confiscated?
