Remember a million years ago when I blogged about having a dog tag made that said, "Help Me! I'm Lost!" with my cell number? Yeah, probably not. But if your kid is like mine, and systematically brings things out of the house, so she can lose it and make you crazy trying to find it, this could be a good site for you.
Plus, those dog tags aren't cheap. You can buy those generic ones you can find at almost every store with the little piece of paper you write your number on. But the problem is you don't only want to stick them on things with collars. Somethings you want them on sippy cups, diaper bags or random toys your kid loves.
I often use the free address labels I get in the mail. I stick them on everything...my pocketbook, my wallet, my cell phone, my iPod...everything. As a Realtor my name and number is everywhere anyway, so I don't care that it's plastered all over my stuff. But not everyone wants that info so accessible. Hence, you can use this site, Send Me Home.
I registered, it's free. But I haven't tried it out yet. In theory it makes sense...get a recovery code, put it on your stuff, people can contact you if they find your stuff without immediately accessing your name, number and address.
If anyone uses this or winds up trying it out, let me know how it goes.
