What a busy, but fun, weekend we had meeting up with some blogging friends!
On Sat we joined the Adventures In Pink girls at the Accokeek National Colonial Farm for Children's Day. Come see the connections between nursery rhymes and life on the farm at the Accokeek Foundation's annual Children's Day event. Costumed interpreters enlist children's help in performing daily chores of a colonial farm and learn a nursery rhyme connected to that activity. Upon completing each chore, children earn a puzzle piece, and by the end of the day will have gathered all the pieces for a jigsaw puzzle of the farm's heritage breed animals.
This was such a fun outing for the girls and it was a beautiful day to go.
Trying on the different clothing
Making the bed
Planting lettuce seeds
Kayla has no fear of getting up close and personal with sheep!
