It’s hard to believe that March is almost over. Before you know it, your kids will be out of school for the summer. Have you decided what activities your kids will be involved in this summer? In our family, my kids have always gone to summer camp. My two older boys spent their summers at a camp run by a local park. They loved it! They went on field trips, played sports outside, and visited the water park at the camp. My two younger children have attended a camp at a local church for the past three years. Now that they’re in kindergarten, they get to go on field trips this year, and they are so excited about it! They’ll be enjoying lots of bowling, mini-golf, movies and more this summer, along with fun crafts and playtime. I also love that they’re meeting new kids (as well as re-connecting with friends from last summer) and learning how to do things that I might not have the talent or time to teach them. It’s a win-win situation for everyone. I recently learned that KinderCare Learning Centers have a terrific summer camp program that I encourage you to check out! They’ve developed 12 unique week-long day camps with themes like the Wild, Wild West, Wilderness 101, Dig Ancient Egypt, You’ve Got Talent!, Puppeteer Road Show, Gross & Gooey Science, Spectacular Sports, Animal Antics, Science Adventures, Art Expo, Kids’ Kitchen, Splish Splash, Surfs Up!, and Everyday Heroes. With such a wide variety of programs, your children are sure to find something that interests them.
I also love the flexibility of the program. It’s easy to work around summer vacations, sports camps, etc., when you can sign up for as few or as many KinderCare sessions as you’d like. KinderCare Learning Centers are accredited early childhood providers, and they have approximately 1,700 centers located in 39 states and the District of Columbia. For more information on the KinderCare Summer Camp Program, head to KinderCare’s website at www.kindercare.com/summercamp . You can do a search for programs in your area, learn more about each session, and reserve a spot! If you haven’t completed your child’s summer plans yet, I encourage you to check out KinderCare and see if their programs are right for you!
