Get Fit with Fitbook!

Posted May 21 2009 11:07pm
My goal, should I choose to accept it (because I haven't yet!) to get fit. It's going to take a while, but I will do it. No with the help of the FitBook.

Fitbook is a fitness journal of sorts. It takes you step by step. The Fitbook keeps it real, you make a game plan, and you stick to that game plan. My goal? I want to be able to walk from 5:00 PM to 7:00AM for the Relay for Life in August. Not a big goal, but I'm taking baby steps, okay?

So, you start out with your goal and you track your progress every day for 12 weeks. By setting a 12 week goal and tracking every day, you aren't so much focusing on the big picture, rather, you are focusing on that day only. For me, it makes my goal that much easier.

The pages break down to Strength Training, Cardio and Flexibility. There is also a small section for Notes and at the bottom you can rate your workout. Killer, Good, So-So, Blah or Oops-Missed it. On the other side of the page is a Food Log. Keep track of everything you eat from sun up to sun down. There is also a Nutrient Tracker, each food group has 10 squares, depending on that food group, according to the food pyramid you can easily keep track of how much of which food group you have consumed. Easy peasy!

The FitBook is brought to you by Fitlosophy and can be purchased online for $19.95. It comes with a pen that stays right inside of the spirals. Plus, the Fitbook is small enough it can be thrown in your purse or in your console of your car. There's no reason why you can't carry it with you!
