It's that time again, NebraskaLand Days are upon us. NebraskaLand Days is a huge deal here in my hometown.
NEBRASKAland DAYS is a celebration of the state of Nebraska and its heritage. Consisting of parades, art shows, rodeos, concerts, and much, much more, NEBRASKAland DAYS is bar none the largest event in western Nebraska. Throughout the celebration, more than 100,000 people will come to North Platte to take part in the many festivities that this event offers.
This year the concert headliners were Lifehouse and Dierks Bentley. I'm not a huge fan of either group. Personally, I don't listen to country music, but my husband and son do. It's kind of the oddity around here. We ARE a hick town. To each their own right? Johnny will once again be riding a toilet in the parade for Charlie's North Platte Plumbing. He always has such a good time. This will be the first year for Pea to experience the parade. I'm excited to see her reaction. We'll slather on the sunscreen and hopefully will be able to stay underneath the canopy that Brand will get up extra early (6:00 am!) to set up in "our spot". Who knows maybe he'll head on over to the pork breakfast after set up and bring home the bacon so I can get ready for work and not have to worry about cooking! I'll keep my fingers crossed!
