First, I have to report that another "dish" was very successful. We had the raspberry glazed pork tenderloin and pearl barley last night and it was fantastic. After I gave Charlotte a bath and put her to bed for the night, I threw it in the oven, went and dropped off my dry cleaning, and by the time I got back it was just about done. I served it with a salad and I had a glass of merlot and it was excellent. K and I are in the process of selecting our April date to go back and I vote for sooner rather than later. I think I have 4 meals left (maybe 5?) and I am scared to think about what I'm going to do when they're gone.
I suppose I'm going to do what I'm doing tonight. Going to the grocery store after I pick up Charlotte this afternoon to get stuff to make for dinner, because I forgot to take one of the dishes out to defrost. Oh well.
To get back to the dropping off of the dry cleaning, though - wow. I had forgotten what a pain it is to remember to drop it off and how freaking expensive it is. I think I dropped off something ridiculous like 8 pairs of pants and 10 sweaters. You could say I've been a bit lax in keeping up with the dry cleaning, no? As a result of dropping off virtually my entire work wardrobe, I found myself wearing a wrap dress today and throwing a cardigan over it. In retrospect I would have been better off putting a tank or something UNDER the dress, since I have all day been obsessed with making sure the safety pin keeping my boobs under control is in the right place and secure. So far so good.
As an aside, why is it that I always seem to be wearing super high heels when I have to pick up Charlotte? I keep meaning to leave a pair of loafers in my car but of course I have not done so.
Also can I say that I think I'm spending too much time around teenagers? I found myself perusing American Eagle dot com last night. I may or may not have ordered a pair of pants. I'll leave that for you to decide.
