Many people I know or read about seems to be going on vacation. Travelling is something I have not done in a long, long time. I travelled a lot during my golfing years. One of the many places I was priviledged to visit was Hawaii . Let me tell you, playing golf in Hawaii is no joke. Both times I was there for a tournament, the wind was blowing like crazy. So, my golf wasn't all that fantastic. But thank goodness, the trip was quite memorable as my coach gave us some time out to snorkel, sightsee and climb a volcanoe. This was over at Oahu.
I was priviledged to return to Hawaii even after my collegiate days were over. This time it was for a business conference. We were over at Kona island and unfortunately, I saw the inside of the meeting room more then I got to see the island.
Maybe the next trip (if I'm lucky) will be a Maui vacation . I hear it's the best island for observing the annual migration of the humpback whale. I'm sure Koko D will love that as he loves whales. I've also read that you can also enjoy the scenery by taking a helicopter or plane ride. Of course, who can pass up a chance on experiencing a Luau that features the Hula and fire-saber dance, not forgetting delicious traditional Hawaiian food.
I can see why so many people are travelling these days. With the internet, one can make travel arrangements so easily. For example, with Hawaiian Beach Rentals , you don't have to confine yourself to staying in a hotel. You can choose to rent apartments, condos, duplexes, homes, villas or cottages. Must see lah, what your pocket can afford.
Anyway, Hawaii may or may not happen for me again. Maybe I should strive to vacation on local waters first.
