Before filing for divorce in 2010, I was a stay at home mother and college student. Knowing that I had to support my children, I went in search of a job that would get us by until I could finish school. With my demanding work schedule and trying to meet our families needs- I set aside my dreams of finishing college. I will eventually go back and I will eventually get the job of my dreams, but for the time being, it was time to focus on myself, my children and our new life together.
The time has finally come. I am ready to take a leap of faith and pick up where I left off. I want more for my children and myself. However, I also know that I want to change career paths. While I am not exactly sure what I am looking for, I know that there are endless possibilities.
I’ve been toying around with getting an online degree, but have always been somewhat skeptical. Do employers look at these degrees as they would someone who went to an actual offline school? That is my only hesitation. Taking classes online would definitely fit into my lifestyle a little easier, but I have to do what is best for myself in the long run. While I continue searching for an answer to the above question, I have spent hours browsing Degree Jungle . Degree Jungle is an online resource for people looking to sort out their options for getting an online degree. They focus their site on careful researched rankings of online universities to help better guide you in the decision making process.
Although I put my dreams on hold temporarily, it’s never too late to attend college.
