Today I ventured into Walgreen's with my sister and both my kids in tow. And let me just say that the experience in general was a pain in the ass. Expecially the ringing process. I'm pretty sure the clerk wanted to kill us...slowly. However, the manager was very nice, so at least that was good. I'm too exhausted to go into details about my shopping experience, but I will say this, when it comes to shopping at Walgreen's make sure you always have more items than coupons and make sure you ring all items that should be giving back register rewards seperately . Because of register difficulties and annoyances I didn't do as well as I hoped, but it was still a lucrative trip. Here's the breakdown: 1st transaction: 3 bottles Herbal Essences shampoo/conditioner 2 Secret Platinum Deodorants 1 Olay Body Wash OOP expense: $15.07 Received $12 in register rewards 2nd transaction: 1 Gillette Fusion Phenom Razor 1 Venus Embrace Razor 2 2-packs Olay Bar Soap 1 box cookies (hey, I had to keep the kiddos from wreckin' the joint) OOP expense: $2.75 Received $5 in register rewards 3rd transaction: 2 packs Energizer batteries OOP expense: $4.68 Will receive $5 more after rebate Total OOP: $22.50 Total saved: $34.46 (including rebate) Go me. |
