Daughter Toes the Line

Posted Sep 11 2008 7:59pm

I received this e-mail from my wife a few days ago:

Lael stubbed a toe so I gave her a foot massage with the foot balm I’ve had forever. She loved it! “This good Mommy!” I really rubbed vigorously too.

Then I went to put it away and she said “Mommy foot rub me!” And I realized she meant she wanted to give me one.

So I got it back out and she said “Mommy help me foot rub” which actually meant “I’ll help give Mommy a foot rub.” Kind of like Latin, where the pronoun placement is all over the place, but very cute.

Mostly my feet just got a bit oily though.

Cute, huh?
