Cooking Classes

Posted Sep 13 2010 10:04pm

I’ve recently discover that there’s a few things I can cook well… and I mean few. Most things I try to cook come out… well, not so good! I’m definitely one of those people who could probably benefit from a cooking class , but to be quite honest… I just don’t really like to cook! I can cook up a good chicken parmesan and yummy chocolate chip cheesecake bars, but those are among the few good foods I can prepare.

If you’re like me and can’t cook, but maybe you want to learn, or buff up on your cooking skills, cooking classes might be for you. Even if you’re a seasoned chef, you might learn something new from a class. I found some cooking classes in Los Angeles for you west coasters, and the prices aren’t too bad either, considering they include a full meal and wine at the end of each class.

Looking for guidance with more than one meal, or want to learn everything you can about cooking? Check out a cooking class series. They are five week long series and include five classes that address all aspects of cooking from using knives to indoor grilling to steaming. This can be a great option for the person who is just getting into cooking for the first time.

Cooking classes aren’t just for women. In my experience, the best cooks I’ve encountered are men. My husband and my brother are just two examples, and a good friend of mine can cook Italian food like you wouldn’t believe, and he isn’t even Italian. Even if you think you know everything about cooking, a class might help you learn a new way to prepare an old dish.

Cooking classes LA are there for our Californian readers, but cooking classes are abundant and you should have no problem finding one in your area!
