Just a quickie to welcome the coming of spring ...
All these images were taken during the 2007 Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers. A magical time when the city sings with the joy of spring.
The carnival is the oldest of its type in Australia and turns 60 next year. One of the Toowoomba fab five is central to it's success this year. This being the case it is sure to be a slam dunk.
Today a flyer came through our Brisbane mail box from Toowoomba... it was generated by my old team. Classic motivational piece - I should know - I wrote it 24 months ago ...
Today we settled our Toowoomba home ... gone for good. Not so sad really - as the house was big but no great shakes in the aesthetics arena ... but just a narrowing of options for now.
And not without struggle was settlement achieved ... customer service in law and banking is not what it should be ...

PS and just to prove spring is really with us the head biters are back .... yes MIC found nits on DB this morning ... on closer inspection of FB he was a carrier to and of course MIC and I are also hosting our own wee colonies ...
Just to share the facts .... head lice are everywhere in lower primary and kindy classes ... little ones love to get close. Lice like clean hair best - so we shall go greasy for a few days and use our tried and tested cheap conditioner treatment method to remove the unwanted squatters ... at least now we know why DB has not been sleeping thru for the last few days ... ouch !
