S o the other morning my wife and I had a hectic morning trying to get our oldest daughter out the door. I appreciate all the support you guys offered because it’s good to hear that I’m not the only dad who experiences mornings like that.

On that note, I’m always looking for ways to streamline my morning routine so I can minimize disruptions. I know I’m not the only dad out there looking to shave a few minutes off his morning ritual and when I was contacted by Lands’ End about trying out one of their new tailored fit, no-iron dress shirts, I jumped on the opportunity.

Why You Want This Shirt :

1. It’s No-Iron

I’m all about saving time and no-iron dress shirts are the way to go if you don’t like ironing your shirts every morning. Who really wants to iron a dress shirt every morning while you’re trying to get out the door?

After washing this shirt, I let it sit in the dryer for about 30 minutes after it was dry. When I pulled it out I gave it a good shake and then hung it up for a few hours. I was so excited the next morning when I was getting ready for work because I pulled it off the hanger and it looked great. No need to plug in the iron.

2. It Fits

I was a little hesitant about “Tailored Fit” part since I’m not a 20 year old college student anymore. After a couple of kids I’ve gained a few pounds and I thought I would be uncomfortable all day in a fitted shirt…I certainly didn’t want it to be fitted over my stomach too much.

But, I was pleasantly surprised with the fit of this shirt. It is slightly snugger than my other dress shirts but the overall fit of this shirt is far better. The shirt fits well in the shoulders and across the back which helps gives the shirt a great look that will compliment many body styles.

And the one thing that really impressed me about the shirt - it stays tucked in all day. When a shirt fits poorly, especially around the arms, it will ride up very easily. This shirt didn’t do that. It’s cut better and just fits like a much more expensive shirt. The fit of this shirt rivals that of my much more expensive Thomas Pink shirt.

3. Quality

I’ve given this shirt enough abuse to know that it’s going to hold up over the long run. It’s hard to describe here, but the quality is evident just by handling the shirt. My shirt is made from 100% cotton Pinpoint and it’s silky and feels great against the skin. Additionally, the attention to detail just ties everything together.

Also, when you take a close look at the stitching you can tell that it’s a quality shirt. Seeing that dads are very active these days, the durability of a shirt is very important since we don’t just sit in front of a computer all day. Well, at least not all day anyway.
