This is a good book if you do have any interest in family photography or photography in general on a beginner or intermediate level. Even if you think you know all the basics you can still pick up a few new tricks for yourself. This book will help you understand what you are doing wrong and how to do it right. The book includes many wonderful photos which may inspire you.
Joel approaches each chapter with professionalism and really understands what you need. You can learn how to use all settings on your camera such as aperture, exposure, etc. The chapters are laid out in an easy to understand format and each chapter builds your knowledge for future chapters.
The book is easy to read, and packed full of useful tips. Having the knowledge about the photography basics will make your photos more professional, and believe me, your family members will appreciate it a lot! Overall I can say it is money well spent. You will not regret the purchase. I recommend this book. Rating: 4 out of 5 stars
