Book Review: Green Kids, Sage Families: The Ultimate Guide to Raising Your Organic Kids ~ Lynda Fassa

Lynda Fassa, a former Ford Model started her own organic cotton clothing line for children because she was horrified at how many pesticides were in the cotton fabric that was thought to be the best clothing option for her sensitive skinned baby. She put her knowledge in the clothing industry to work and created a healthy organic cotton fabric and clothing line that is safe for children. Her clothing line, called Greenbabies, is carried nationally at Whole Food Stores and children’s retailers, and gives parents the confidence that the clothing they are buying is the most organic green product that they can get for their children! The book is done in a way that not only educates you on getting green but the steps are so easy that it makes one wonder why we all don’t do this and make the whole world a better safe place to be, whether you have children or not. With chapters like: Field of Green Dreams, what you need to know to protect your child from toxins, now that baby’s not a baby anymore, and Big Hippie Happy Family, totally unplugged, or how to reconnect when you disconnect, the chapters are full of information that makes you realize that you can incorporate this into your life, without that much of actual change or disruption. I really like this book and I will pass this on to my daughter with small children. You can view her line at www.greenbabies.com.
