I have always watched Joyce Meyer on TV in the mornings. I was always amazed at her inspirational words and how becoming a Christian was easy and fulfilling. I am now a Christian, I believe in a higher power, although I do not attend church. Joyce Meyer has helped me understand that you do not have to go to church, to believe. She never ceases to amaze me, with her words and how right she is about everything happening in the world. I feel empowered when I watch her and her sessions always leave me thinking more about life. I was very excited to review the newest from her, Battlefield of the Mind: Winning the Battle in Your Mind. Battle of the Mind is a religious-based book about solving some of the common problems we all encounter in life. Millions suffer from depression, anxiety, and anger, and this book helps examine those thoughts. Joyce Meyer says, “you need to begin to think about what you are thinking about.” This is a great quote and basically what the book is about. This book teaches you how to gain more control over what goes on your your mind. This book never made me feel condemned, I felt convicted, sure, and was overwhelmed when I realized how off-track I’d gotten with my own life and spiritual walk with God. Joyce constantly reminds everyone how God will complete the work He started, we are just along for the ride. This book is easy to understand, provides readers with lessons, and wonderful advice. I would have to say this book truly changed my life and I am now letting God be in every aspect of life. This book provides good spiritual tools for your fight against the demons of the world and opens the door to self discovery. I will probably read it over and over again, just for references and to have a piece of mind.
