Sometimes it is hard to believe that this sad little face in yellow is the same person as the little face below. It truly is amazing what love can do and to me, that is what adoption is all about.
I have recently had several people ask me about adoption and how to get started and where to go for information. Especially since November is coming up quickly and that is National Adoption Month, I wanted to share some super references with you to get you going.
Just a reminder to you, my awesome readers, that we have adopted twice - once at birth domestically and once at 10 months of age from China. Both of our girls are healthy and bring joy to our lives and we love them just as much as we love our precious middle birthchild.
Adoption.com- Good online resource for all kinds of adoptions.
Rainbow Kids.com- Probably my favorite general resource that is realistic and helpful.
The Adoption Guide- Another basic online resource for all different varieties of adoptions.
China Connection- A terrific resource for China adoption with links to all sorts of sites.
Reece's Rainbow- At risk children who are in need of adoption and love in a major way.
That should keep you busy for a while.:) If you want more, there is always myadoption resource pageor you can contact me for some real-live adoptive family sites. Adoption is not for everyone but if you are curious or want more information, please consider making room in your home and your heart for one more.
