I was hoping after a recent snowfall I could take the picture I’ve been dreaming of: a white dreamscape of Lake Michigan. Alas, almost as soon as the sun came up and cleared the clouds, the white coating boiled off leaving the lake looking not much different than the week before.
Even when the lake is frozen, the hot afternoon sun seems to cause pools of water to appear on the surface of the ice. That causes the lake’s appearance to change hourly. Alas, I’m at work most of that time.
