Thats a surprising title coming from me, eh? Well, regardless how things are going around here, there are so many things that are looking up right now!
1. Not the least of which is our cleaning service! Yep. We bit the bullet, we’re forking out the dough, we are outsourcing the house cleaning duties. Hooray, Hip, Hip, Yay!! Wahoo! Woot! Do the Shaky-Shaky!!
2. It is also a gorgeous fall here in Vancouver. The leaves are all gorgeous colors, the breeze is sweeping in and cooling everything off, the rains are here some days which means everything is bright green and gorgeous! The fall Chrysanthemums are in full bloom – I love the weather here. That is one thing you will NEVER hear me complain about here. (of Course, I feel I ought to reserve the right to do so in the future)
3. Mike is doing better physically – Phew. It was touch and go with the asthma, and flu there for a while. He was on tamiflu, and 3 weeks later, antibiotics for bronchitis. Now is feeling better – less flu-ish, but still a really aggressive dry cough. But, hey, he can breathe!! That’s all good.
4. Megan had a flu shot – actually, TWO flu shots a couple days ago. Regular and N1H1. There are NO people on this green earth, including doctors that I let tell me what to do. Nobody, Nuttin. Zilch. cabata. (no idea what that means). I make up my own mind, even if its wrong, I’d just prefer to have ownership over my own wrongness. HOWEVER, Dr. Gordon, I trust. Implicitly. I still ask an annoying amount of questions, and I’m sure the office clerks roll their eyes when they see me coming, but I’m a need-to-know kinda girl. HOWEVER (again), I cannot take the time, nor am I inclined to get into the debate on vaccines. I have no idea what each side is into, because I have intentionally (and its been difficult) avoided any and all facts, opinions, conjecture, spam, forwards, videos, posts, and conversations about it. I have a hard enough time deciding what to make for dinner. So, Dr. says we all should get the flu shot, then we all get the flu shot. End of story. Caput. No talka nomora. Poor Megan – her arm is hurting pretty bad. And the rest of us are all so eager to get our punishment vaccines.
5. Lastly today, I’m so grateful for my calm, big, master bedroom, and the big comfy chair that I claim for my “office” and my giant luggable laptop that keeps me company. And I’m EVER so grateful to all of you who read and comment, tell me off, send the love, or otherwise just opinionate with me.
Social Networking is the sincerest form of flattery.
