Here I am at 29 weeks!
And here's another one
How far along? 29 weeks.
Total weight gain/loss: I don't know how much I've gained since my last appointment, but I do know I'm up 7.5 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight.
Maternity clothes? Just a pair of maternity shorts. Everything else is pre-pregnancy clothes or shirts in a size bigger.
Stretch marks? Just the ones I already had, nothing new (yet, lol).
Best moment this week? Getting to see Marija in 3D. I loved it! I'm amazed at how clear the images are. She has her brother's chin and nose
♥
Movement: All the time! She's a little wiggle worm.
Food cravings: None. Mostly it's food aversions.
Gender: She's still a "she." We made sure to have the ultrasound tech sneak a peek again this week to make sure.
Labor Signs: Nope, thank goodness. I've had no signs of anything since the scare I had a few weeks ago when I lost my mucous plug. I'm still having Braxton Hicks here and there, but they aren't painful or regular.
Belly Button in or out? It's an in-betweenie, lol.
What I miss: SLEEP! I'm not a big fan of waking up in the middle of the night to pee.
What I am looking forward to: Meeting my baby girl
♥
How I feel: For being in the third trimester, I feel great!
Milestones:
Baby is now about the size of a squash. Baby's energy is surging, thanks to white fat depositing beneath hher skin. And since she's growing so fast (weight will triple by birth), things are getting kind of cramped in the womb. What all this means for you: Get ready for some more kicks and jabs to the ribs.
Here's a peek at my girl =)
This is her 3D image
And here's a 2D image of her profile.
I met with a diabetes educator/dietician today. She gave me TONS of information about how to eat properly, how to balance my carb consumption, how to read nutrician labels, how to how to manage my diet and also told me about when to test my sugars.
Honestly, I was expecting it to be a lot more difficult, time consuming or inconvenient than it is, but it's actually really simple. I test first thing in the morning, an hour after each meal and then right before bed. And as far as the diet, it's not much different than how I've been eating minus the sweets and sugar-packed beverages. So, no more cake or soda, but I haven't craved either anyway, so it's not much of a change.
I can also do sugar-free beverages and desserts, but I'm not big on artificial sweeteners, so that's something else I can do without. Plus I'm not a big fan of the sugar-free after taste.
