Order Organic Online

Posted by C.L. R.

I've heard a lot of people mention that they don't have an easy time eating organic because their local grocery stores don't carry organic merchandise. Consider shopping online as an alternative.

I found a cute little store at http://www.sunorganic.com/ that seemed relatively reasonable in price. And www.livelifeorganic.com is running a promotion where you can get free shipping if you purchase $50 worth of groceries or more.

Don't let you location determine what you're eating. Take care of your body and know that organic, even if you live in the middle of nowhere, can be a reality.

I have tried this and love it!
There are plenty of local farms with delivery service that also help ensure that you can still eat "local" even if organic foods aren't directly in your vicinity--and they aren't too far away, so delivery isn't bad either. I'm with Kathleen--I am a big fan of Planet Organics myself.

There's a great website, Local Harvest, where you can search for all types of organic products in your local area. Check them out at: http://www.localharvest.org/

Also, I have a number of friends in the San Francisco Bay Area that LOVE Planet Organics. I believe they have a wide reach (not only the SF area) so check them out at: http://www.planetorganics.com

ya, also one of the things about ordering organic food online is the delivery time.

but I don't mind getting to know more organic companies and find a local one for you. www.organicstorelocator.com/ is a place you can do a search and find your organic stores, also http://www.producedbynature.com/. There are the only ones I know of. Does anybody know anything else???

Eating local as well as organic is important. Eating organic food that is flown in from New Zealand is not the same as organic food that is grown near your house. If possible, order a fruit and veg box that is organic and local!
I don't know whether or not they're in the Bay Area - I was looking at places to order from online. In LA, there are all sorts of excellent organic options at farmer's markets, health stores and the like, but if you're not in a major city, it can be tough to find.
Are these places just in the bay area?
I checked out both sites. I like Sun Organics products, they are unique -- pricey but, obviously, excellent products. Live Life Organic products are pretty common. You can get them in any health food store -- a little pricey, but not too bad. Overall, this is convenient because you don't have to take the time to drive, push a shopping cart and haul the stuff home. Instead, it gets delivered to your home where you simple put the food away. However, I swear by organic vegetables and fruit -- nothing tastes better or is better for the body. I would still go to my store for my organic, fresh vegetables and fruits. I might as well pick up my other organic items. If the organic items at this site were cheaper or had hard to find items, which Sun Organics seems to carry, I am inclined to shop there. Thanks for the tip.
