I dropped a candle holder on my toe and severed two tendons. One that raises my big toe and the one next to it. I had emergency surgery on 4/7/2010. I am currently in a cast. I was told last week I could start putting weight on it with the aid of crutches or my walker. I have put very little weight on it and I am in a ton of pain by the end of the day. I would guess I am taking less than 30 steps a day. Is the pain normal? How long is the recovery process? This has been much harder than I had ever anticipated. Any advice is welcome. Thank you.
