Travel Nurse across America Ups the Ante: No More Gambling for Healthcare Coverage

Posted Oct 07 2008 7:18pm
Travel Nurse across America (TNAA) has redefined the standard of health care coverage for the medical staffing industry with first day coverage, free insurance option, and a variety of choices in available coverage.

Little Rock, AR (PRWEB) July 15, 2008 -- TNAA recently upgraded its health insurance benefits package after switching to United Healthcare Network, one of the largest healthcare networks in the nation. The new plan will provide choices for their traveling nurse or surgical technician, and now includes greater flexibility and choice with coverage ranging through three levels (Classic Plan, Performance Plan, Premier Plan).

TNAA announced it will continue to offer its original "free" plan, the Classic Plan. The Classic Plan is offered at no cost to its employees and allows dependent coverage at an affordable premium.
The Performance and Premier Plans are both offered with affordable premiums and provide a variety of options depending on the type of coverage an employee desires. Both plans include a 3-Tier prescription drug program and no annual maximums.

When asked about the impetus for these changes, Gene Scott, President and CEO of Travel Nurse across America, responded, "We listened to our registered nurses and surgical technicians who are traveling with us on assignment. The consistent message we received from them is that they value a long-term relationship with their travel company and want available health insurance coverage options that offer REAL coverage without the fine print. Our travel nurses deserve access to the best healthcare coverage we can offer them, at least as comprehensive as the coverage of the patients to whom they provide care. We view this new offering as a way to reward our long-term, loyal travelers who are providing a high level of healthcare to the patients of our client hospitals."

Scott further reported that TNAA employees will continue to enjoy coverage beginning the first day of work, as well as free dental coverage and life insurance policy at no premium charge. Optional vision care packages with VSP, short term disability and additional life insurance through Jefferson Pilot are also available, making Travel Nurse across America's benefit offering the most comprehensive in the industry!
