2:43 p.m. It looks like about half of my Christmas lights have blown off the front of the house. Can't tell for sure - I can't get out the front door or the entire blizzard will blow in, and the garage has a small snowdrift *inside* so I'm not opening that one either. And the drift on the deck is about 2.5 feet high now.
3:10 p.m. Now we're up to 3/4 of the lights. That explains the light 'thump thump thump' I heard across the roof earlier. And here I was thinking it was Santa and the reindeer, early. Not so much. Pretty much all of Colorado is closed, sounds like. Sweet.
4:52 p.m. Sliding glass deck doors are snowed halfway up. Can barely see the fairway from here. Snowing horizontally, and fast - they say the sustained winds are 35 mph with gusts up to 50-60 out here on the plains. Brrrr. And just now Scott tells me Woodmen is closed - which means the only other way for me to have gotten to the hospital, if called in, is now not an option. (frowning with appropriate remorse). Woo hoo! And they say it's gonna continue all night long. Sucks to be the poor bastard that has to shovel out my driveway. (Oh wait. That's me.)
