I work for 24 Hour Fitness. We just launched a new advertising campaign - 12 million lives - telling the personal success stories of some of our members. When I first saw the commercials I realized how inspirational they could be for people. I hope they inspire you, or help you inspire a friend or family member.

Hi Nate,

My name is Mary.  I'm the moderator for the Wellsphere weight loss community.  Thanks for joining us.  I know the fight to lose weight and keep it off is a tough one.

If you're new to Wellsphere take a few minutes to explore the site.  There are tons of great articles on everything from sports to healthy eating to relaxation.  If you're looking for something specific the search feature is great.  For instance you can use it to find healthy barbeque tips, information on accupuncture and spinning classes along with hundreds of other things.

Feel free to post questions, comments and information.  This is truly an interactive community of people who want to live healthier lives.  We all work together to support one another.

I just wanted you to know that we're here to help you attain your goals.  If there is anything I can help with let me know.  And welcome to Wellsphere.

nate took 15 inches off his waist.

Nathaniel Arnold “didn’t realize how big I was” until he saw a picture his wife had taken of him and realized it was time to lose weight. As a police officer, he also knew that his life, and those of his partners, relied on his being healthy. He still keeps that old picture in his locker at 24 Hour Fitness to keep himself motivated. Since he started, Nathaniel has lost almost 100 pounds, and his waist has dropped from 49-34 inches. Now, he says, “People tell me I look 15 years younger.” But more important than the way he looks, is how it’s made him feel. He says, “I may not live one day longer, but the quality of the life that I’m living, is a helluva lot better, and I think that’s all you can ask for.”
