As the mother of two "perfect" teenager boys I really am the luckiest person on earth living a charmed life with them in the east bay. By profession I am a real estate broker, although my academic background is in the health sciences. If I could wish two things for my kids, it would be having a good sense of themselves and feeling genuine gratitude for all they have in life. With confidence and humility I think almost anything is possible. I was an obese child and teen and while I shed the pounds in my twenties, it has only been in the past decade that I have really lost the (neurotic) attachment to those numbers on the scale. I have grown a true appreciation for how the little choices in life collectively shape the quality of my entire existence. Exercise for me now is as much about my mental health as my physical health, which is why I get upset with myself when I lose the motivation to be consistent about running (my sport of choice). I eat very simply because I hate to cook, I have a pedestrian palate and I am often on my way to/from some sporting event or work function. I think Glad snack bags and freezers are two of the best inventions ever! ;-)
