Hi My Dance,

Thanks for the invite.  I got my dance theatre degree at the Univ. of Hawaii/Manoa and went on to teach and choreograph modern and ballet in Guam.  I then moved to Virginia and joined a Hawaiian dance school performing throughout the DC metro area and in competition.  All just on my off time, really, while I was working as a network analyst for Discovery Communications.  I also got into tai chi yang style there.

Unfortunately I was diagnosed and treated for non-Hodgkins Lymphoma there as well.  I got through the cancer treatment just fine, but found out almost 2 years later that my spine was overradiated and I became paralyzed from the waist down after all the craziness of 9-11, anthrax attacks, west nile virus and sniper shootings (that's what triggered the paralysis since a former neighbor was shot and killed). 

I'm in California now and continue to practice tai chi, took up hula again for awhile (looking for a new teacher now), and got into holistic healing.
