What are the chances of improving?

Posted by Jaime H.

Hello all...

I was diagnosed with RRMS two years ago.  I have had symptoms for about nine.

I recently went numb from my waist down and am having trouble walking due to stiffness.

My last MRI done six months ago showed that I had no new lesions, almost less, and they said "it looks like World War 3 in there".

What are the chances that this will improve?  All of my other relapses have gone away in about three months.  This is the first relapse I've had in two years and is the most scary and debilitating one yet.  I'd like to know since six months ago they said I almost don't have MS anymore, that this will improve in a few months or so...

It's so bizarre to have a perfectly clean bill of heath and then wham!  You know?  Just wondering about anyone else's experiences..

Thank you!!

How are you feeling now? I hope you have had some improvement

I have had some relapses leave me wheelchair bound for several months but thankfully with physical therapy and medications changes/corrections I seem to always get back on my feet. I think that with proper nutrition and exercise even the worse relapse can ease up over time and sometimes you need to work with your doctor to make sure your medication does not need to be changed because as your disease progresses your medications needs will also change.
