M.R.I. Tests – or Magnetic Resonance Imaging Tests — are used to diagnose many health issues in children and adults. When I was in the hospital, going through a maze of tests to determine what health issue I was facing, I was petrified of having an M.R.I. In fact, at one point, I think I was more afraid of the M.R.I. than of the results.
On today’s episode of my Friday morning television segment, Ready, Set, Learn, I explored M.R.I. machines and procedures, hopefully to alleviate some of the fears of having an M.R.I. completed. Even more importantly, if adults are easily scared by M.R.I. machines, imagine how children may feel. During today’s show, we suggested a number of children’s books to help the young ones in your life become acclimated to doctor visits and hospital stays.
