32 I run in the path of your commands, for you have set my heart free.
After allowing this verse to linger all day on my tongue it has left a taste rather like sweet tea. (Pleasant enough but lacking still.) These words capture so much of who I am and tell a tale that most can relate to: the freedom of love is refined by rules. Rules can and do set me free.
It is human to always seek freedom in our heart of hearts and it is this very seeking that propels us into tomorrow. As a child I probably struck others as wimsical and fancy free but in reality I was very dark. Now mind you I could pretend with the best of them but there was always that small nagging internal voice that whispered: You are not enough. You won't be able to.....don't try.
Each time I wiped off the dust and got back on my feet to try again but it is in youth that we learn to fail.
We learn what it means to not be picked first and to not play at all.
I run in the path of your commands....
This gives vision to gleefullness and carefree joy, doesn't it? For me, running is always a great moment. It is a peak of achivement and not only the place I am going to but also the places I have been.
