MS nonprofit is building large research repository, seeks participants
Accelerated Cure Project for MS is creating a large-scale collection of blood samples and data from people with MS, people with other demyelinating diseases, and unaffected controls. We are making the samples and data available to researchers studying the causes of MS and building a database of the experimental results obtained in these studies.
The repository provides MS scientists with rapid access to a large number of high quality samples, thereby accelerating efforts to cure this disease. As of November 2008, over 1,350 people have enrolled but we still need more!
Participation involves spending an hour or two at one of our collection sites, answering a questionnaire, and donating some blood. If you live (or travel) near Worcester, MA New York City, NY Baltimore, MD Atlanta, GA Dallas, TX Phoenix, AZ then you may be able to participate.
