A Reason for why UTI's are more common in women then men?

Posted Oct 22 2010 12:00am

I learned today that most women, when they sit to pee, they sit hunched forward.

This position does not allow for full release (or evacuation) of urine from the bladder, thus causing urine to back -up within the system,  thus causing bacteria to build up, thus causing the UTI.

Does this make any sense?

What could this mean for ladies often subject to UTI's?
When sitting to urinate, sit up straight and allow for a full, uninhibited flow...
